Oscar: 7 oscars!!! including best picture, best actress, best supporting actress.

WTF There were so many oscars. But as a film it was just so confusing and annoying. I think best review from the Guardian gave it 2/5 and renamed the film Nothing, Nowhere for a very long time. From a technical aspect it was amazing that someone managed to piece the chaos together and produce a film - it did win best film editing. The film did generate some good discussion. There was talk of all sorts of mother daughter relationship issues - basically the advice is don't tell your daughter she is fat!

Jonathan managed to provide some food that was linked to the film. In particular sausages and bagels. There were various comments that the sausages were not hot dogs and the bagels were not black. However all food was eagerly scoffed. There were a couple of Tesco's finest italian wines on offer - both very good. The Puglia was from 100 year old vines.

It is not too surprising that the scoring did not go well. It is a pity there was not a score for the promotion of after film discussion - maybe that is something for the next AGM.
